Collecting Google Ads and/or Google Shopping results in a Full Performance Tracking.
The option to select paid results (Google Ads and Google Shopping) allows you to include or exclude paid results in the calculation of your positions.
In order to carry out the most representative and exhaustive position tracking or as part of SEO/SEA synergy monitoring, the Full Performance Tracking allows you to include paid results such as "Textual Ads" and "Shopping Ads" in the position calculation. You will be able to know if the keywords tracked trigger paid results in addition to the organic search results.
When creating your project, select or not the option of including the paid results to obtain them in your positions monitoring and analysis. Be careful, the inclusion of Google shopping results can cause significant variations in your rankings.
Let's have a look on how it works, with an example:
The keyword is nike shoes.
On this query, the organic textual result ranks after the paid results blocks. If you take into account Google Ads and Google Shopping results in your performance tracking setup, the organic textual result will rank in 9th position (image below).
Otherwise it would be 1st if you had not taken into account the paid results.
To get paid results in your ranking monitoring, you will need to set up a full project.
Only this type of project will allow you to collect Google Ads and Google Shopping results.

In order to get an overview of the SERP during data collection, our parsers take a screenshot per tracked keyword. This allows you to see how results pages look like at the time of collection.
How to find it? Example with the keyword nike air max.
