Problem 😔

Are you currently experiencing difficulty synchronising a tracking project?

If you encounter an error message while accessing the synchronisation modal of a tracking project, it's likely due to the token, issued by Google, which authorises the J+ Search application to access API data being revoked.

Solution 😎

Regenerating the Token

To resolve this, follow these steps to regenerate the token and enable data synchronisation:

  1. How to delete your current authorisation?

    • Each application operates independently. Therefore, only perform this process for the application encountering the error. For this guide, we'll use the MYPOSEO ANALYTICS application as an example.

  2. What are the different Applications?

    • MYPOSEO ANALYTICS: Synchronises tracking projects with Google Analytics data.

    • MYPOSEO - RANKING ANALYTICS: Facilitates Looker Studio connector creation.

    • MYPOSEO CONNECTOR: Enables creation of external connectors for the Report tool.

    • MYPOSEO GOOGLE DRIVE: Allows exports to Google Sheets.

    • MYPOSEO SEARCH CONSOLE: Synchronises tracking projects with Google Search Console data.

  3. How to regenerate the token?

    • Access your Google account settings by clicking on "Manage your Google Account"

    • Navigate to "Security" > See all connections

    • Choose the relevant application (e.g., MYPOSEO ANALYTICS) and select "Remove Access."

  4. How to reauthorise the Application?

    • Return to your project and initiate a new synchronisation.

    • Log in with your Google account to authorise the application again.

    • Even if your email is already listed, you must reconnect with Google.

  5. How to complete the authorisation steps?

    • Follow the prompts provided by Google until you reach "Authorise."

    • Grant access to the application to read data accessible on your Gmail account.

  6. How to complete synchronisation?

    • Return to the J+ Search Synchronisation modal. The application will load properties.

    • Choose the property to synchronise, select indicators and period.

    • Save to restore synchronisation.

By following these steps, you can regenerate the token and restore data synchronisation for your tracking project. If you encounter any difficulties, feel free to reach out to our support team for assistance.
