Source: Best position VS All positions

What is the difference between the Best Position and All Positions?

When you select the Best Position, the tool will fetch data calculated only on the best positions for your keywords. To give you an idea, this corresponds to the Positions sub-tab in the Performance Tracking.

Then, the indicators used in your reports will always be calculated on the best position of your keywords.

However, this is not the case when you select All Positions where the indicators will be calculated on all your keyword positions. This corresponds to the Detailed Keywords view in the Performance Tracking.

Example :

Metric coming from the multi-position:

It can be seen that the traffic is more or less consistent depending on the source selected in the connector: Best Position OR All Positions

Traffic Sources dimension

Adding the Traffic Sources dimension which only works with projects where synchronisation with Google Analytics is done.

Example:

✅ Groups Levels dimension

It is possible to pre-filter your data by level groups, directly in the data source configuration. This will allow you to isolate your parent categories from your children.

Example:

✅ Version 1 & Version 2

You may have noticed an update in the configuration of Myposeo connectors in Data Studio, namely a new field called “Version". If you are creating a new connector then choose version 2.0. If you are editing an existing connector then choose version 1.0.

⚠️ WARNING: Changing the version of an existing connector means that all blocks linked to this source must be reconfigured.

What is the difference between version 1.0 and version 2.0?
No major changing but version 2.0 will allow us a better management of the metrics between Rank Tracking & Google Data Studio

✅ Position type dimension (block position, type position and position)

From now, when you select a full project, in the creation of a data source, you will have the possibility to apply to your data blocks one of the following types of position: block position; type position; absolute position*.

*By default, the absolute position is applied to the data blocks

For instance:

Here you will find the weighted average rank (WAR) of a website by the 3 types of position.

Brand / Non-Brand dimension

From now, you can filter your data using the Brand / Non-Brand dimension. It will no longer be necessary to create specific Brand / Non-Brand keyword groups.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NB: Remember to configure the Brand keyword modal to be able to use the Brand dimension in Google Data Studio (see image)

Results type dimension

Added the Results Types dimension which only works with full projects.

You can filter your keywords by type of results such as Organic, Shopping, Images and so on.

Keyword Groups dimension

It is possible to pre-filter data by groups of keywords, directly in the configuration of the data source.
