New feature available for all users with a Myposeo Pro or Insights license: Ranking with protocol.
Previously, the SEO tracking tool Myposeo did not take into account the protocol of urls tracked in your projects.
That is, urls in http and https were detected when collecting positions.
Now, you have the possibility to configure the taking into account of the protocol in your projects:
In this configuration, only HTTPS urls will be detected as a position for the site being monitored.
This opens up perspectives for setting up the follow-up of a migration from HTTP to HTTPS in order to configure a reporting system to measure and manage the impact of the change on all redirections of the site’s pages and on referencing (SEO).
Thanks to the tracking of competing urls in a tracking project, you can configure your tracking in this way:
=> Main URL without taking into account the protocol.
=> 2 competitors URLs
Thus you can find in the tracking all the positions for each of the HTTP and HTTPS URLs
The impact on positions is as follows
We observe here that the site, fr.myposeo.com, without taking into account the protocol captures the position of the url in http. The same goes for the site that only follows the http.
And for the site that only takes into account https, the position is 2. The url positioned in 1 being in http for this example.
Now, how to use all this with the custom reporting tool.
You can now compare and track the performance of HTTP, HTTPS and 2 condensed URLs on many indicators:
Number of keywords positioned
Number of pages positioned
Attendance rate
Estimated traffic…
For example, to track the evolution of the average position of the myposeo site on the 3 URLs. In the edition of the block in question, we must fill in the 3 domains.
myposeo.com
myposeo.com (https)
myposeo.com (http)
You can also compare HTTP data and HTTPS data. In this case, you only need to enter the HTTP domain and in the other case the HTTPS domain.
